What gaps did you see to create Search for Her Existence, LLC?

The most important gap, was I did not know what the hell I was doing. In addition, I had no support, mentorship and or guidance when I first started the business. This left me confused and ready to quit my business. At the time my business was born out of necessity so it could not fail. There was no plan B. I started asking people who followed me what they though I did in my business and I started asking them to let me know about 2 to 3 things they were struggling with in their business. I started recreating the initial vision of my vision to align with my target audience.

Why is Leadership for Women nonprofit important? ReeJade J. Richmond: ReeJade J. Richmond

Leadership for Women is a nonprofit organization focused on assisting women personally and professionally. To provide mentorship and guidance that is accessible as well as affordable. The idea is to lift and support every woman as we climb higher.

What are some tips for women to stand out in their respected space?

Define your standards, worth, and value. When you understand who you are and what you bring to the table no one can shake your confidence in what you are doing.

Do everything in excellence. Your reputation is everything. Never do anything just for the money. If you cannot do it in excellence, it is best not to do it at all.

Integrity is everything. Be honest in all things. Let your yes mean yes and no mean no.

Can you give us 3 tips on how to juggle career, family, and side business?

Be flexible. It’s hard to stick to a strict schedule when there are so many factors at play. Adjust according to the circumstances.

Schedule time for self-care. You cannot not take care of anyone if you are going crazy. Set out time to do something you really love and enjoy by yourself. This can be a spa day, dinner, shopping, or a solo vacation.

Ask for help. When you feel like you are drowning do not be afraid to ask for help. You need to make sure you have some type of support system in your circle.

Who are some women that inspired you during your entrepreneurship journey?

I am inspired by all the women who have paved the way for me to use my gifts and talents. Maya Angelou, Oprah Winfrey, Jasmine Starr, Arian Simone, Sara Blakely, and Michelle Obama are to name a few.
