We know you saw the Rob Kardashian meltdown not too long ago. Thanks to his antics, he was roundly booted off of Instagram. Not only was he booted off of the platform, but his baby mama went to court and won a restraining order. Lesson: don’t be a douche on social media. Lesson 2: If you’re in someone else’s house, you play by their rules. Period.
With that being said, if you have your own blog, with your own domain name, and your own hosting, then you can set the rules. But we understand that interacting on other platforms is a necessary evil if you want to build your brand. And each of those platforms have either a Terms of Agreement or Terms of Service. If you agree to their terms, then you get to play in their sandbox. Break the rules, and they have the right to kick you to the curb. Nothing personal, just business.
Speaking of which, have you ever actually read the TOA? Be honest. Probably not. Well, if you’re not careful, you could be signing your life away. Did you know if you post pictures on some platforms, then you could be giving up the rights to those pics. Scary if you are a photographer and that’s your bread and butter.
We had a lovely discussion about all this and more on the tweetchat. We know how important it is to keep you online, and we just wanted to make you aware of what is out there. We want you to be able to engage and have fun. Just remember to not go full Rob Kardashian. Never go full Rob Kardashian.
